JuiceOnline to launch Hanger Men Portal with more Lifestyle Contents

HANGER is the love child of JUICE Malaysia and a mysterious stranger with studded leather jacket and ripped cult jeans. It all happened one binge night out and details are rather sketchy.

On a serious note, we are more of art on paper than a magazine and we come out twice a year – once during Autumn Winter and again during Spring Summer.

HANGER should not only be read and never just flipped through but collected and reread. We would like to think of ourselves as scene specialists – taking note of current fashion trends, style hot spots and the latest music and art movements.

We take pride in what we do, and we would like to share them with you.

TOMS Red Classics collection

There is Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and Chinese New Year next week – oh, what to wear, what to wear! Fortunately, the generous people of TOMS have just the right pair of shoes for everyone for these reddening festivities.

Available for the men, women and kids, the bold TOMS Red Classics hit the shelves with a canvas upper, TOMS’ signature toe-stitch and elastic V, and a latex arch insert for added support. Besides that, the kids also get an alternative of the Red Glimmer Classics for that little shimmerin’ shimmy in their steps.

What better way to capture the heart of your Valentine – and not to mention, make a good example for your kids – with a pair of shoes that gives back to the underprivileged?

H&M Chinese New Year campaign collection

According to Chinese traditions, you’re not ready to usher in the Lunar New Year unless you’ve got at least one red item going on for you – heck, the redder, the better!

Exclusively in countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, H&M has a special Chinese New Year campaign collection available in the reddest of red you can find this season.

For the ladies, it’s a relaxed yet stylish year with playsuits, flared skirts and slouchy sweaters, mixed with a touch of glamour with sequins and lace detailing for peeptoe booties and clutches. The guys can look forward to some modern essentials in vibrant red, such as blazers, shirts and chinos, and an extra sporty casual vibe through raglan sweaters, polo and varsity tees.

#HANGERLoveatFirstStride : Astrid Andersen AW15 collection @ London Collections: Men

Swords are drawn for yet another collection from Astrid Andersen as the designer and the brand continues their exploration through the favourited Japanese culture of old. Premiered at the runways of London Collections: Men, the Autumn/Winter collection is all about the samurai warriors of medieval times with hints of masculine grace.

Drawing inspiration from the 1999 film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, and 18th century literature Hagakure (‘Hidden Leaves’), the collection expands on the vigour of the male species through unorthodox forms that demonstrate power and lust.

The catalyst is a mixture of black that reminisces a samurai’s mysterious complex, and pink as one of Japan’s key symbolism in their cherry blossoms. The collection remains ever as bold as one the brand has been built upon, through the works of label patched knitwear, sweats and bombers, PVC with long hem lines, and fur fronted tracksuits.

PUMA ‘Year of the Sheep’ Chinese New Year pack

PUMA keeps up with their tradition with yet another Chinese New Year pack, just in time for the Lunar New Year.

This time around, the ‘Year of the Sheep’ pack features two of PUMA’s most iconic archive running shoes, the TX-3 in red and fern green (available also in kids sizes!), and the Cabana Racer in strong blue and marigold.

Greatly inspired by the Chinese traditions of old, the collection features an embroidered metallic sheep symbol on the tongue and heel of the shoe, alongside the gold ingots – a symbol of prosperity, fastened upon the laces on the anterior. The insoles hold the classy gold “Chinoiserie” pattern that emulates the Chinese artistic influences, whereas the uppers are decked out in mesh and leather materials.
