Laguna Network, Klang Valley’s Big-Format Digital Billboard Network

Laguna has run outdoor media since 2005 and positions itself as the number one big-format digital operator in the Klang Valley, with a network concentrated on the highways serving the region’s most affluent households.

The strategy is unusually disciplined. Rather than mixing formats, almost every digital site uses the same 40ft (W) x 60ft (H) screen, mounted on structures ranging from 100ft to 140ft tall.

Formats in the Laguna Network

Big-Format Digital Screens

The core product and the company’s entire identity. Uniform sizing means creative produced for one site runs across the whole network without reworking.

  • Standard face of 40ft (W) x 60ft (H) at every digital location
  • Resolutions of 800 x 1140px or 1200 x 1710px depending on build year
  • Structure heights of 100ft, 120ft, 130ft and 140ft
  • Sold as paired A and B faces catching both traffic directions

Static Bulletins

The conventional half of the business, still active across four highways. These run as long-term single-advertiser placements rather than rotating slots.

  • Static inventory on Federal, MRR2, NPE and Sungai Besi Toll
  • Federal sites at PJ Icon 1, PJ Icon 2, PJ8 and Amcorp Mall
  • Elevated structures reaching 120 to 140 metres
  • Positioned for head-on reads rather than side-angle viewing

The Slot Model

Every digital screen runs an identical rotation, which makes forecasting straightforward when planning frequency across multiple sites.

  • 8 paid slots of 15 seconds, plus one reserved for local council civic messaging
  • Full loop of 2 minutes 15 seconds
  • Operating windows of 17 or 18 hours, from 6:30am or 7:00am to midnight
  • Minimum 453 to 480 exposures daily per screen

Where the Screens Sit

Federal Highway

The spine of the network and by far its densest corridor, covering the full run from Kuala Lumpur through Petaling Jaya to Shah Alam and Klang.

  • Named sites include Katholik, Bintang, Harvey Norman, C&C, Guinness and Mentari, each in A and B pairs
  • PJ Icon 2 and Amcorp cover the Petaling Jaya stretch
  • A 140ft structure near the Carlsberg factory sits where Federal meets Elite
  • Traffic volume of 1.6 million vehicles daily

LDP Highway

The north-south connector through Petaling Jaya and Puchong, carrying commuters past a dense run of retail destinations.

  • Sites at Penchala Toll and outside PJ Trade Centre
  • Placements near The Curve, Paradigm Mall and Sunway Kontena
  • Carries more than 400,000 vehicles per day

Sprint and NKVE Highways

The affluent western corridor. These screens face households in Malaysia’s highest-income residential catchments rather than transient through-traffic.

  • Sprint sites surrounded by Tropicana, Bandar Utama, Damansara Utama and TTDI
  • Nearby destinations include One Utama, Uptown and Tropicana City Mall
  • Sprint carries 202,767 vehicles daily

MRR2, Elite, NPE and Sungai Besi

The outer ring and southern approaches, completing coverage around the city rather than through it.

  • MRR2 screens at Sri Damansara, facing both directions
  • NPE sites at the SS15 junction and along Persiaran Tujuan
  • Sungai Besi Toll and Elite Highway complete the ring
  • A separate Kuala Lumpur cluster covers the main artery roads into the city
