OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

M Network was incorporated in 1998 as a small outdoor media agency based out of Sri Hartamas. Over the years, our company has grown exponentially and has acquired many outdoor advertising sites, including highways and airports. We have also managed to clinch several advertising concessions in more recent years. Besides outdoor advertising, M Network has also developed a niche in selling in-flight advertisements and advertisements and promotion spaces in transportation hubs like airports, ferry terminals and bus terminals.

A key differentiator that makes us stand out from the crowd is our agility in adapting to changes especially from a technological standpoint. Besides being media-savvy, our young and energetic team is also techno-savvy. This rare combination of skill set in our people allows our company to stand high above the rest.  M Network has its own OEM LED brand known as MScreen. M Network also provides many media-related technological solutions. M Network launches MCAST

Kuala Lumpur: M Network, a local out-of-home (OOH) media company announced its launch of its multi-platform digital signage software application named MCAST. The launch of this application marks M Network’s expansion into the digital advertising world as well as the company’s acknowledgment of the emergence of the digital advertising industry in Australia Airports and Malaysia Airports.

The software application is said to be a robust client-server application that has the ability to manage infinite number of thin clients that may be spread over a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). This also means that the software application can easily handle digital signage networks within a premise, a city, a state, a country or even between countries.

Content and advertisement uploading can be done both via an internet broadband connection. M Network’s Director of Sales, James Lee added that MCAST boasts a very flexible graphical user interface (GUI) that allows even the most non-technical person to learn up and use the software within 60 minutes. James also revealed that the software application scheduling engine allows scheduling of advertisement and contents by a specified loop, by a specified time, by a specified date or even by a specified time-table.

The MCAST is currently not for sale and will only be used by the company as its backend to manage its own digital screen network that will soon be launched. When asked as to when this launch will take place, the reply we received was “soon enough”. M Network will announce the timeline of the launch before the end of May2024.

M Network targets to launch its new digital network, MScreen in Q3 2022

Kuala Lumpur: In its marketing campaign of the newly launched MCAST digital signage software, M Network’s Sales Director, James Lee reveals that another digital offering dubbed MScreen will soon make its way to the market. This product is targeted to be launched somewhere in quarter 3 of this year and he expects it to be a hit in the market.

The release of this new product line marks the company’s first venture into the digital advertising screen world. James added that while many media owners in the country still deny the importance of this new media trend, it is time that we embrace change and adapt ourselves to the market demand.

The advertising industry in Malaysia is still a very much demand pull market and failing to change in time to address the market needs will render us obsolete. Although the acceptance of digital advertising is very much slower in Malaysia compared to most part of the world, we are seeing an increasing trend where many big companies are already starting to set aside budgets for this new media.

While many advertisers in Malaysia are still sceptical of the new media and have the mindset of not wanting to share their ad-space with others, there are many distinct advantages that digital advertising offers over their conventional static counterparts such as lower production costs (since no printing and installation costs is needed) and on-the-fly content update (meaning advertisements and information are always up to date).

This new media is also particularly useful when it comes to short campaigns since they can be turned on and off almost instantly to suit the campaign duration. The nature of the medium which allows videos and sound to be played also make this a very suitable medium to be used for brand education purposes.

M Network believes that digital advertising should not be used in isolation but instead be used as an extension to its conventional static counterpart.

While the latter is used for branding purposes, the former can be used to extend the brand’s reach by ways of education
